Matt and Cat are big fans of Isle of Wight Day, and this year we are helping out by promoting one of our favourite parts of the day – Dish of the Isle of Wight Day.

If you want to join in, this is what to do.

  • Decide on your Dish of the Isle of Wight Day NOW
  • Fill out the online application form by clicking here.
  • Display your Dish of Isle of Wight Day on your specials board or on your menu over the coming months.
  • There is no cost for any of this
Isle of wight day dish of the day

Last years winner the Seaview Hotel with their twice baked green barn goat’s cheese soufflé.

A key aim of Isle of Wight Day this year is to celebrate and promote the great local produce and eating out on the Island. We are asking Isle of Wight venues large and small to feature a dish using Isle of Wight ingredients to create a “Dish of the Isle of Wight Day”, and we would love you to join in.

This could be a full meal or just one item on the specials board. And it doesn’t have to be 100% Isle of Wight ingredients, either, so long as the main focus is on something that comes from the Island. It could even be something that is already on the menu.

We will publish all Dishes of the Day on the Isle of Wight Day website and Facebook page – the idea is to promote your establishment as the place to go to! Also, some finalists might get a visit from Matt and Cat, to feature your Dish of the Isle of Wight Day on our website and social media.

Your customers will be able to vote on the Isle of Wight Day website for their favourite dish. The dish with the most votes will be awarded the prestigious Dish of the Isle of Wight Day 2018 trophy!

There’s no closing date but obviously the earlier you send it, the sooner if gets promoted and the better chance you have to win.

Join with us to celebrate the reason we all live and work on this beautiful Island!
