1. Entering the Competition
Registration of entry will be made by and Individual / Group on the Summer Fun page of the isleofwightday.com website. Registration should be made as soon as possible.
Entry videos will be uploaded to the isleofwightday.com website before or on the closing date of 31st August 2017
Isle of Wight Day takes no responsibility for entries that are misdirected, incomplete or that cannot be entered for any technical reason.
The panel of judges appointed by Isle of Wight Day will assess the entries on the basis of-
Originality of idea
Clarity of Communication
Entries should not exceed 3 minutes.
Entrants will be notified of selected finalists on 5th September 2017.
3. Parental/guardian consent
The entrant will be responsible for obtaining all permissions necessary from parents / guardian of the participants before submitting their final entry. Proof of relevant parental consent may be requested.
All participants will receive a Words of Wight certificate.
Winners of each age category will receive a Words of Wight trophy and a place at the Island’s got Talent final on 23rd September 2017. The overall winner, who will be selected at Island’s got Talent, will receive a Words of Wight winner’s trophy.
5. By entering for the Words of Wight competition you consent to Isle of Wight Day using any video or still photograph online and in print from this for the purposes of carrying out publicity and promotional activity related to Isle of Wight Day. Isle of Wight Day has the right to use your name and the name and ages of the pupil(s) for the purpose of identifying them as the author of their entry.
Isle of Wight Day shall not be responsible for any third party’s use of your video, photograph or information published on the Isle of Wight Day website, Facebook page and/or any other platform.
